The Love Legacy - Generation 1 Chapter 9

Hello everyone and welcome back to another chapter of the Love Legacy!

In the last chapter, everybody aged up, the four older siblings graduated and the boys also found love... and last but not least, baby Ricky was born!

But another important event was in the air...

...everyone was excited and impatient for something that was to happen in the Love household and everyone was trying to do his best to show off... 

Generation 1 was coming to a close and the heir of Generation 2 had to be chosen!

Eleanor, for example, decided that people might like her more if she learnt some cooking skills...after all, a legacy heir must know how to cook, if she wants to rise kids...

as she's a diva, she decided to celebrate the event (earning 1 cooking skill) by cooking in her formal wear. Unluckily her first attempt at Mac'n'cheese was rather unsuccessful....

Instead, Sebastian decided to improve his logic skills and try to create the potion that would bring his IF to life... he didn't succeed, but he created a potion named liquid horror.. the name didn't sound good though...

Harry, on the other hand, decided to show off by having Hedwig-the-voice follow him on his first work day as a private investigator! He needed to investigate the mail and the dustbin of some old lady...he looks like a professional spy, doesn't he?

...or a professional hobo....

The old lady even caught him rummaging in her dustbin...but instead of getting mad she introduced herself and invited him into her house....weird!

In the meanwhile, Amanda decided to impress the readers by going fishing in some fishing lot and she caught 10 jellyfishes! She sold so much fish to the grocery store that she passed from level 1 to level 3 of the fishing career at once! (She had registered herself at the city hall, in the end!)

Now, that's impressive Amanda!

Giselle decided to paint. She was still a child and didn't care of all these talks of legacies and possible heir. She just wanted to enjoy her childhood, and her first wish was to paint, so she painted, that's all.

And Ricky was definitely too young to care of anything else than his new highchair...

Sebastian and Eleanor were also working... Eleanor had got a job in the medical career and Sebastian one in the science career. As both workplaces were in the same place, they shared the taxi cab. Unluckily they don't have the eco-friendly trait, otherwise they would have got a positive moodlet for car sharing :D But showing respect for the environment even without the eco-trait is yet a positive quality for a possible heir...

His children busy with the heir race, Benjamin started a new hobby. If Sebastian could prepare potions, so could he!

Well...he should be able to do it...theoretically....

And then Juliet's maternity leave was over and eventually she had to go back to work... 

I guess it was just her 4th day or something though :D

Being a professional angler, Amanda could choose when to go fishing, so she adapted her schedule to those of the other family members. With her father stuck in the garage trying to create potions, she spent a lot of time with her little brother Ricky, who particularly enjoyed reading time :)

Procrastinating work for family, that's another good quality for a possible heir...

Someone else was also showing the quality...Harry loved being the big brother and helped Giselle with her homework...

Seeing that everyone was busy with their activities, none had time to care for the house... luckily there was Martin the maid...who however didn't seem to be too efficient....

Anyway, the four young adults were happy to find the home (almost) clean when they came back from work, and they started spending quite a lot of time in the basement room exercising their musical skills... they even held jam sessions together!

One night Eleanor had an idea: why not to form a group with her siblings? She consulted Sebastian and he agreed... they were brothers and sisters, two of them were virtuoso, they had fun playing together, it was relaxing, it could get more money and, last but not least, loving music and playing instruments are good qualities for possible legacy heirs....

And so it was! The "Loves Are In The Air" held their first concert and earned quite some money for the family!!

So, the four older possible heirs were apparently satisfied with their heir race... and how about the younger two?

Giselle kept thinking that her siblings were crazy to worry about this heir thing and to show off...she just wanted to do her homework and play in the playground and daydream...

But heir race or not, she enjoyed spending time with her brother Harry, who always helped her with her homework and read her stories before she went to sleep...

But as much as she liked her older siblings, she always ended up having breakfast alone, all the others having different working schedules and being busy doing stuff for the heir race....she couldn't say to be too happy about that...the heir race just didn't leave time for the siblings to be together, and she would have loved to know her older sisters better...

 Ricky was also left alone for many hours...when everybody was at work, Benjamin was discovering potions and Amanda had to go fishing, so Harry was left alone in the nursery while Martin the maid cleaned the house..but he wasn't a babysitter so he didn't care if Ricky was all alone...

The stress that the heir race had brought in the Love household was however softened by the presence of pets...

Rembrandt in particular was beloved and cuddled by anyone who passed by...

...and he was definitely happy to have all these attentions :)

He stayed cute even as an adult cat

And he got a new collar with a little bell as birthday present :)

Although he was the latest addition to the family, he had definitely found his place in the Loves' hearts...especially in Sophie's, who was half believing he was a puppy of hers...

 and was a little...overprotective :D

But deep in her heart she knew Rembrandt was a cat, and she started to go looking for a nice male dog to have puppies with...

Her mother seemed to understand her daughter's need for puppies, because she was very active during the night and haunted the house a lot those days...

but she must have been very tired in the netherworld, because she kept falling asleep on her old favourite sleeping place, the small couch in the living room :)

While Ralston's ghost slept in the living room, Juliet could be found practising her hew hobby...playing the drum set!

But she hadn't forgotten her mother duties...

Finally she taught Ricky to talk...

...and she started to get ready for her granmotherhood by cooking breakfast for her huge family every early morning...here she's preparing fruit parfait!

She should have started this habit sooner though, because poor Giselle had had to go to school without breakfast for a long time...

Soon enough it was Ricky's turn to turn into a child! Happy birthday little Ricky!!!

He got the loser trait..oops! I guess it must have not been a very happy birthday after all...

But having a child brother made Giselle very happy....

...at last she was not alone, she had a play mate who even lived in her own house!

Giselle and Ricky started to bond by doing homework together. Although Giselle was older and they had different homework to do, they thought that putting their brains together could be useful in homework making...

Ricky was happy to finally have an older sibling who cared just for him and decided to throw a pijama party to celebrate!

 ...with the only two other kids of Appaloosa Plains...

Seriously, what's wrong with this neighborhood? Only 2 children and like 3 teens! I should do some repopulation work...

Being the party organiser, Ricky got all the attentions for the first time of his life, and he enjoyed telling everyone a scary story (an habit, I suppose, Amanda must have passed on to him :D)

Ricky was so popular Giselle was late for the story and couldn't find a seat! Apparently you're never too old (or invisible/imaginary) to appreciate a horror story :D

Ricky: and so our hero entered in the pharaoh's tomb.... a scary looking golden mask with flashing red eyes looked at him from above the sarcophagus...which slowly started to open....

Ricky: and out of the sarcophagus came a horrid mummy who started walking like a zombie and went straight...

public: at the doorbell....

 Food for the pijama kids!

The pijama party was fun and we can definitely say that the whole neighborhood kids were there :D

Ricky was happy of his success but probably his story had scared him as well, because apparently he couldn't sleep and was often found playing in the sandbox instead..

he looks a bit freaky though..

and when he did manage to sleep, he was often woken up by his brothers getting up at weird times of the night...

he started to behave a little weird, our Ricky...he seemed to prefer his own company than the one of his siblings...

Eleanor: so, Harry, who do you reckon will be chosen as the heir for next generation?

Harry: I don't know.. but we all did our best..

Giselle: ....

Giselle: Eleanor, for once that we manage to have breakfast together, at least three of us, you start talking that heir race rubbish! You scared Ricky off, don't you see?

Eleanor: you don't understand Giselle, you're just a child...

Giselle: just a child? you'll see..just wait...

mmm I don't think I see much sister love in here....

Ricky had been really scared off by the negative aura he could sense coming from the kitchen...he didn't like his siblings fighting and anyway, he liked eating on his own...

And then Giselle's birthday arrived.. and she chose that day to start working on her masterplan....

She had planned to corner Ricky alone, to talk to him before the party preparations, but her mother had come to play with her... she really loved her mother but she had just a little time left before growing up....

Giselle waited and waited for Ricky to get her signal to come in the playground but he was nowhere to be seen... she took a moment to rehearse the plan once more... it must be there, somewhere, a land far away with sunny beaches and palm trees...somewhere in the ocean, at the end of the river that flew across Appaloosa Plains...a quiet island with no siblings fights and heir races...

 And eventually Ricky got his sister's signal and reached the playground...

Giselle: listen, little bro, the time has come for me to reveal you a secret... but you must not tell anyone..

Ricky: of course, I won't I won't I promise!

Giselle: you know I love mum and dad, and our brothers and sisters too (ok, maybe I don't like Eleanor too much..) but I'm fed up with these heir talks, everybody is stressed to  show up the best way to earn votes... you do know what this is about don't you?

Ricky: er...

Giselle: of course, you were too young when all this madness started.. it seems our family is part of something called legacy, which means that first comes a marriage, then come kids, one among them is chosen as the heir and the history repeats itself again. Our brothers and sisters have been crazy trying to make the people love them to get more votes. Apparently there are people reading our story you know. I guess we've been here for too short time to be selected as heirs, and actually the idea of marrying and having 6 kids like mother did quite appalls me..

Ricky: oh yeah, how can you do it?

Giselle: so I thought that I want to flee all this madness. I want to become an explorer and go up the river till I find the ocean and then sail for new lands like a pirate... I'll need someone else to come with me, and you'll feel quite alone once you're kicked out of the house as you'll have to leave it to the heir and his/her new family... we're alike little bro, we've been here for a shorter time and we've been rather neglected...it's time to sail away of this place.. what do you think?

Ricky: wow it's so cool! of course I'll come with you! maybe we could also fly to the moon? or find some unexplored planets in the galaxy?

Giselle: ok, now, I'm the leader and I said we'll go find a desert island. 

Ricky: okok sister, don't worry, I'll come with you, wherever you want to go!

Giselle: good boy good boy...then, keep your mouth shout and just wait till I grow up...and btw, since you agreed to the plan, come to the kitchen, I have a present for you...

Giselle: ...you're going to age up with me today!

Happy birthday Giselle!!!!! Make a wish...

Giselle: I just know what to wish for....

Happy birthday! Giselle decided to age up with her back at the camera... surprise, here she is! She doesn't look too much like Juliet actually, she's a mixture of Amanda's strong facial features and Juliet's forehead...

But she's not so totally ugly...

Giselle: hey Amanda, I'm a better version of you!

ok, everyone, Giselle is not mean! She's just been a bit neglected and hasn't a deep relationship with her older siblings except Harry...and she got easily impressed as fourth trait.

And now it's Ricky's turn to age up! Make a wish Ricky!

Ricky: I wish I could follow my sist...

Giselle: what are you saying?.....

Ricky: oops...

Ricky decided to follow his sister's example and aged with his back to the camera... aaaaand be ready to meet.... 

* suspense suspense*

Eleanor: be ready everyone, this IS a surprise....

...UUUURGH! who are you and what did you do to Ricky?

oh em gee, the sixth and the ugliest of the siblings...poor Ricky! He doesn't seem to have anyone's features, except maybe a bigger version of Juliet's mouth and Benjamin's jaw.. but where does the nose, eybrows and hair colour come from? urgh...

anyway, he rolled virtuoso as fourth trait.

And while everyone is celebrating Giselle&Ricky's birthdays (Martin the maid included, instead of doing his work..)...

Eleanor is one of the twin girls born as first heirs in the Love household. As a toddler, she loved playing with the xylophone together with her twin sister Amanda, who is now her best friend, although as a child they were rather stranger to each other. As a teen she was the first (and up to now) only member of the family to suffer from heart ache...her first boyfriend Pierluigi Hackett flirted with another girl right after they decided to go steady...despite the breakdown that came after that, Eleanor managed to find happiness again, wishing for love at the wishing well...

She is now at level 2 of medical career and she is engaged to Ezekiel Montes, whom we know nothing about, as he just came out of the well at Eleanor's wish and apparently she hasn't found out any of his traits yet. 

Should it be art hater, loner, virtuoso, eccentric, athletic Amanda who loves country music, cookies and spiceverry and having the LTW of being the canine companion?

Amanda is Eleanor's twin sister. As a toddler Juliet had dressed her up in spiceberry colour and she enjoyed playing the xylophone with her sister, as well as eating the magic cubes (or whatever they're called). During childhood she found her best mate in her dog, Ralston, who was rather old and sadly died quite soon. Although she wasn't really friend with her sister during elementary school, Eleanor helped Amanda a lot during their teens. Seeing that her sister had finally found love made Amanda feel a little depressed. She considered herself to be not as much beautiful as her sister was, and she wasn't very sociable either. Being a loner, Amanda didn't like parties too much and feared that her personality would prevent her from ever finding a boyfriend. She didn't want to go wishing for prince charming at the wishing well as her sister had done, though. Amanda was more pragmatic than her dreamy sister, and was looking for a real man, she didn't want a perfect stranger someone to appear out of the blue. So, she started to look for a boyfriend on the internet and at school, but she realised that for some strange reasons there were no teens in the neighborhood, except for the Pierluigi guy who for sure wasn't an option. But one day she looked at Dusty Lucas the maid with different eyes, and she found him to be very attractive. Being a rather shy loner, she asked her sister for help and she managed to become friends with her love interest..and to confess her feelings once she was of age :)

She is now engaged to Dusty who's known to be...flirty (unluckily) and she's a level 3 angler.

Should it be heavy sleeper, good, vegetarian, perceptive, athletic Harry? He loves R&B music, lobster and green and has the LTW of adopting 6 strays (at the moment he has adopted 1, Rembrandt).

Harry is the first boy born in the house, right when his twin sisters were aging up as toddlers! When he became a toddler as well, he loved spending his days playing at the kid's table with the magic blocks (or whatever their name is) with his bigger sisters...having had more days to play, Eleanor and Amanda were willing to teach their brother all their knowledge about toys. He adored his sisters but for one thing...he was jealous because he was the only one not having an IF doll...he saw his sisters playing with them, singing at them and even chewing their IFs' hands and legs, while he would have just loved to cuddle one of those things.. but for some unknown reason, some unknown long lost relative didn't remember of sending him one... however, he became a very nice child, although, the family being broke, he had to sleep in his sleeping bag on the floor for a few days. Even when the family could afford to build a bedroom just for Harry, when he was nowhere to be seen he was surely sleeping in his sleeping bag in some odd places..in front of the school for example! As a teen, he observed his sisters and even his little brother Sebastian's love lives, while he hadn't found his soulmate yet.. he wasn't even lucky enough to go to a prom! but on his graduation day he decided to confess his long hidden feelings for Jean Sandoval, one of his older sisters' friend who had come to their parties ever since... 

Harry is now having an affair with Jean Sandoval, who loves family but is a loner...and a flirty girl...

Being perceptive, Harry got a career as private investigator and is currently trying to reach level 2.

What about overemotional, neat, artistic, excitable Sebastian, who hates swimming but loves French music, eggrolls and spiceberry colour? His LTW is to reach maximum celebrity and have worth at least 100.000 simoleons. I think he is a 2 stars celebrity at the moment.

Sebastian is the fourth born and, since his toddlerhood, he was said to be the cutest kid of the family, being the only one who had inherited his mother's looks. He was a quiet boy who followed his big brother Harry everywhere. During elementary school, Sebastian met Shamecka Hood who became his bestfriend and who was to become his girlfriend later on. But the love path wasn't so clear... When his birthday finally came, Sebastian invited Shamecka to the party, to have her age up as well so that they could be together again, as teens... Shamecka arrived as a teen already, and Sebastian couldn't be happier to go and talk to her once he grew up as well. But Shamecka had to run away for some unknown reason, so our hero didn't have the time to ask her out. Oh well, he said, it will just be for another time, teen age is long... but he couldn't be more wrong! At his older sisters' graduation he had a bitter surprise...one of the other girls graduating was...Shamecka! For some reason she had decided to age up after only 2 days of teen age! Sebastian was so sad, he had wasted his only occasion to confess Shamecka his feelings and now he wouldn't be able to do it...anymore... Luckily for him, Hedwig-the-voice had decided that himself and Shamecka would be together, so, for Harry's birthday, another cake appeared and Sebastian grew up as a young adult, enjoying only a few days of teen age himself. But he didn't care, the most important thing was that finally he could ask Shamecka out...

Sebastian is currently engaged to Shamecka Hood who is also neat, and is snob and flirty, and I suspect her to be slob as well, as I saw her eating something from the floor.. (unless she's just slob and I just misread the snob trait :D) He is level 1 in the science career.

And here come little Disciplined, party animal, friendly and easily impressed Giselle! She likes songwriter music, key lime pie and blue, is still a teen and hasn't a LTW yet.

Giselle was believed to be the last kid concurring for heirship, before Juliet was magically pregnant again :D She was the cutest baby girl of the family and didn't have to endure the family being broke because when she was born the house was already completed and furnished, so she could have the nursery and new toys all for herself, as well as a new hairstyle and clothes that her bigger sisters didn't have, as toddlers.

Everybody loved her and she was always cuddled, by strangers as well. One apparently insignificant episode was to leave a mark on her though... Once at a party she was picked up by a stranger, some guy named Pierluigi Hackett. She felt something was wrong with that guy, who was going out with her older sister Eleanor, but she couldn't tell her sister because nobody had yet bothered to teach her to talk. As she had sensed, the guy broke her sister's heart soon afterwards. Although still a toddler, Giselle felt so guilty for not being able to warn her older sister and developed a natural mistrust in other people, especially if they were boys. As a child, she spent a lot of time alone, wondering...nobody knew what was going on in her head, until she told her secret to her little brother Ricky...she didn't like this legacy thing, it was making her siblings crazy and potentially fighting. Besides, she wasn't sure at all that she would like to find a man and have children, she wanted to be an explorer. Children were ok though, just finding a husband wasn't... she had realised she didn't have many chances of becoming the heir, so she would leave Appaloosa Plains in search of new adventures...together with her little brother Ricky. Will her wish come true or what will happen if she is chosen?

Last but not least, how about the sixth of the Loves siblings, loving the outdoor, virtuoso, loser, genius Ricky? He loves Egyptian music, tofu dog and purple. He's still a teen and doesn't have a LTW yet.

Ricky is the last of Juliet&Benjamin's offspring. Everybody thought that 5 kids would be enough but then Benjamin turned elder and Juliet realised she wouldn't have so much time with him yet...and here came Ricky :D Ricky was the second of the Loves siblings not to be sent an IF doll but didn't realise he needed one as he never saw his sister Giselle playing with hers. Due to the huge family he came to be born in, he was rather a neglected and lonely child.. As a toddler he learnt all his skills also thanks to his brother Harry, who loved playing the older brother part to him and Giselle. As a child he became fond of his sister Giselle. After one evening when they did the homework and a pijama party together, they could always be seen playing together in the playground. Due to Appaloosa Plains lack of children, Giselle and Ricky became best friends. Although Giselle was a bit bossy sometimes, Ricky would have followed her on the moon. On Giselle's birthday, she made him a proud little brother by trusting him with a secret she had kept to herself for all that time...she wanted to be an explorer and, if she succeeded, she wanted to bring her little brother with her. He was so happy that she had chosen him, so they planned their escape masterplan together. Giselle wanted to be a pirate and leave for some far away deserted island, while Ricky secretly would have liked to become an spaceman and leave for some unknown planet...but Giselle was the leader, he would just follow. So he decided to age up together with his sister...but what if one of them was chosen as the heir?

Here ends Chapter 9 and Generation 1 with it!
